I'd done an MSc at Northampton in 2022, worked retail and admin on PSW, but felt I needed something stronger from a more reputable London university. I had been teaching at a college in Hyderabad for 8 years and my husband works in the UK on a Tier 2. I was looking at PhDs because dependants visa rules said taught masters wouldn't work for me.
